Zenthai Shiatsu addressees the needs by drawing on the Traditional Energetic based systems of Zen Shiatsu, Traditional Thai Massage and the remediation techniques of Osteopathy. The integration of the prime aspects of the modalities and the creation of a safe, awake and caring healing environment, Zenthai has evolved to be widely recognised as an effective structural and energetic form of therapy. This is movement based therapy, effective in dealing with issues of the musculoskeletal, digestive and nervous system.
Tui Na (Chinese Massage)
Tui Na uses rhythmic compression along energy channels of the body. It includes a variety of techniques that manipulate and lubricate the joints. Like acupressure, Tui Na directly affects the flow of energy of the Chinese meridian lines by holding and pressing the body at acupressure points.
Remedial (remedy) Massage is very different from relaxation massages which cannot do what Remedial or Myotherapy (muscle therapy) can. A detailed assessment of your body & issue will be conducted at Montville Body Balance to isolate the cause of issue. The therapist will then create a treatment plan for the treatment & rehabilitation of the musculoskeletal pain. This can include soft tissue manipulation, neuromuscular trigger pointing, stretching, dry needling, cupping, joint mobilisations & exercise prescription.
Seated Shiatsu Treatment
Running low on time or cash but wanting to keep the maintenance up? Our seated massage practitioners are specifically trained to target key areas of issue, despite being in a chair this does not impact the effectiveness of the treatment. Our 15min treatments are $20 and this is great for removing key tension points when low on time. Our 30min appointments are remedial and deliver a different training, more so for correcting shoulder back and neck issues. These remedial consultations are $50 and well worth trying to feel the instant benefit.
Reflexology is based on the principle that certain parts of the body, such as the feet reflect the whole body like a map in miniature.
These parts of the body are comprised of so-called "reflex points" which relate to all organs, glands and body parts.
For good health, the body's processes need to be kept in a state of correct balance and flow. When that flow is impeded, a condition of "stagnation" or congestion occurs and a particular area becomes out of balance. Stimulation of the body by specific touch is believed to restore the body's natural state of balance.
